Bus - Cancun Airport-Playa Del Carmen-Ferry to Cozumel

HELP! Does anyone know which bus company to take from airport to Playa and their REAL schedule? We're taking a red-eye flight with Frontier and are arriving Saturday around 6 am from Denver. I've found different information posted on different websites regarding bus schedules. We were hoping to get an immediate connection to Playa and take the ferry across to Cozumel.

The bus costs $65 pesos and is a brightly colored air-conditioned bus and the company is ADO. Check out Carrie's site http://www.cozumelmycozumel.com/...tBusInstructions.htm

Thanks for the info. On www.cozumel.net a different schedule was posted with the first bus leaving at 6:15 AM, so I assume there is more than one bus company that does the airport to Playa del Carmen route? HELP????

That is the only bus company that I know of that goes directly from the airport to Playa. Another one goes from Cancun centro to Playa. There are also lots of minivans and cabs that do it but they are more expensive.

I have taken the bus from Cancun airport to Playa Del Carmen many times, the schedule is subject to change, but if your plane arrives at 6 AM you should get through immigration and customs by 7 AM. The bus is parked at the far East side of the main terminal ( not the charter terminal) – just walk until you see the Rivera bus – you can get tickets from the Rivera or ADO people who stand around the bus.

I ended up arranging for a private van to pick us up. Our friends waited at the airport for their son's arrival at 10 AM and found out that there is early bus service to the Cancun Centro bus station, from where you can also take the bus to PDC.

We used www.agitours.com - and I can highly recommend them. E-mail Javier and tell him what you need, let him know I recommended him. Carlos, our driver stopped for us for breakfast (I wanted typical mexican style breakfast tacos) - very inexpensive and VERY good. Carlos also waited patiently with our luggage (return trip from PDC ferry pier to Cancun airport), while we did some quick shopping for T-shirts, etc at the plaza, great guy! Don't forget to tip your driver!
