Hello,
I'm a recently retired teacher from upstate New York and I want to retire in Mexico or at least spend all my winters there. Another teacher friend of mine and I are hoping to come down for 3 or 4 weeks in January or February. We are hoping to rent a room in a guest house or B&B while we check out the different areas that are available for rent or sale. Does anyone have any pointers on how to find an appropriate place to stay? Something reasonable and safe. We would like to visit Oaxaca & the Pacific coast and are open to places only you who have lived there know about... some less famous area with charm and natural beauty some place that's not over developed.
I would appreciate any advice you think would help!
