At the moment there is only one English speaking meeting. It meets on Thursdays at the Merida English Language Library. It runs from 700pm to 800pm. There are people from Progreso who attend, however most of the beach members are snowbirds. Even in town the size of the meeting fluctuates greatly with the seasons.
There is perhaps a need for a beach meeting and the best way for a new meeting to succeed is to attend the meeting in town, meet some other AA members, and see if a meeting on the beach is feasible.
