I have been offered a teaching position at a school in Sonora. Is it a common practice to not send a contract to new teachers until they arrive? I have requested one but have not received it as yet. I am not going to quit my current position until I have a contract in hand and know what is involved. Also, I don't want to give up my lease on my apartment until I know what I am going to have in Mexico. Any knowledge of Mexican practices will be appreciated. Also, is it common to not offer health insurance? I have not read about this on the site. But have received useful information about other topics. Thank you for any assistance in sorting out this matter.
