Hi, I'm new here. This is my first post. I'm John. I currently live in Thailand but am getting real tired of this place.
Hot all the time and the local currency has increased over 25% since I moved here 6 years ago.
I lived in San Diego most of my live and am thinking about leaving where I am and moving to Baja.
I have searched the forum and can't see where anyone has posted anything about RV's.
5th Wheels, motorhomes etc.
Are there parks in Baja where you can stay in an RV?
That might be a better idea than renting and finding out you don't like the neighborhood or the neighbors.
Easier to drvie away than pack up and move.

Do a Google search on "rv forum mexico". There is a lot of information and help out there.

RV's are a good option for winter months, but summer living could be a challenge, with the heat. RV parks here in Mazatlan (for example) empty out in the summer months, but the folks that are here during the winter, have a great time.

Could it be that the SNOW BIRDS go home rather than the heat that emptys the RV Parks?

Ya got me there! The snowbirds definitely go home at some point no matter where they are staying. That said, those who intended to live in RV parks all year (and I've met a few), find out pretty fast that it's not feasible. You can find RV's being sold by expats who have decided to go to Plan B and rent a condo or house. Hope that helps.

A lot of times it is cheaper to just rent a small apartment than it is to rent an RV spot. Also depending on where you are traveling and the size of your rig, some of the roads in Mexico would be very challenging.
