Need to ship five boxes, 25 lbs each to Oregon

Any ideas on how to ship five boxes that weigh about 25 lbs up to Oregon? I won't be travelling the with the boxes. I'm shipping them from Mazatlan to Portland for a friend.

I have not shipped anything from Mexico to The US, but you might want to check with Estafeta http://www.estafeta.com/ingles/index.jsp I have used them to ship things from the border to me here. Their rates were not cheap, but not outrageous either. They do ship from Mexico to The US.

As usual with many Mexican commercial websites, theirs is not very user friendly. I could not figure out how to get a rate for anything on it to ship items to The US although there is a section to calculate rates.

If you click on the “contact us” button at the top of the page there is a Mexican 800 number there. If you’re lucky enough to get to speak to a human being instead of voice mail, maybe they can help you.

Maybe check out the bus companies, or does that only work if a passenger is accompanying the boxes? Also, check air freight rates with the airlines. That's how I sent several boxes of belongings to Mexico. I dropped them off at the airline freight depot and they magically arrived in Mexico in a few days.

Shipping Greyhound in the US can be cheaper than other options. Perhaps you could take them on the bus as your baggage until you get to the US and then ship them Greyhound.
