City workers have begun the annual task of painting lines along the marathon route in preparation for the big annual event. Athletes from around the world participate in this popular event, which this year takes place the first weekend of December.

Marlene, I was excited to see on your link to the Marathon a reference to Mapquest. When I pushed the Mapquest logo I got lots of countries, but not MEXICO! Have you tried it?

Dee, I was able to get the map by clicking first on the "outside Canada-US" link (near the find address area) and I then located Mexico in the drop-down menu. From there choose Mazatlan, Sinaloa.

Oh, Groan, Marlene, this is embarrassing! I did look at the drop down menu and didn't see Mexico at all. I looked today and voila, it was there. Probably the gremlin who lives in my computer, it couldn't be MY fault! Dee

Not to worry Dee......that gremlin gets around to more than just your computer! In fact I was thinking of posting over on the Techie forum to see if anyone knew of a good gremlin removal program!

I seriously DO have a gremlin and if you get info from the techie forum about them, please share it. I keep track of the memberships at the Maz Reading Library, and for a year now, I cannot automatically change the date of membership from 05 to 06! And a year ago I couldn't change from 04 to 05. My Excel simply does not accept it. I CAN do it but it is a pain in the neck! When I asked my computer guy Cesar, who is very good, he just said "change it in the dialog box" and that is what I am doing. What a drag! Two steps for one. Hate those Gremlins!
