Canada Day - July 1st , upcoming Federal election, etc.

Hi everyone. I am posting this information on behalf of Wendy Osuna at the Canadian Consulate here in Mazatlŕn.
They will be hosting the first ever Canada Day open house at the Consulate on July 01, 2004 from 11 am to 2 pm. The open house will include an exposition of local Canadian artists.
If you are an aspiring Canadian artist (or know of other Canadians who are) and would like to join the exposition please give the Consulate a call for more details.
Also, in the meantime, the Consulate has information booklets and forms on how to vote via special ballot in the upcoming election. These can be picked up Monday through Friday from 9am - 1 pm.
Last but not least, if you are a Canadian enjoying an extended stay in Mazatlán, please pick up the form to register your name, phone number and address in case of unforseen emergencies (such as the upcoming hurricane season for example).
