BTW where is Uncle Donnie these days?

NOB. Texas. Working/teaching. Recently bought a house/duplex; says he is 'gonna die there'. Of course, he has been saying that for the last 10 years to those of us who know him. Pirada, the Mexican wonder dog, still keeps him company.....

Glad to hear "Uncle Donnie" is alive and well. A very nice guy. He was kind enough (while still living Lakeside) to help us with how to deal with the VA on behalf of an in-law who had cancer and was having VA administrative problems. They wanted to move to Lakeside after spending a week there with us, but unfortunately, there just wasn't enough time for him. Still have Donnie's book, and it remains relevant to this day. Would urge anyone wanting to know Mexico better to read his and Theresa's books...they are gems.
