Weather & clothing Ajijic

Our first visit to AJIJIC is September through October, What type clothing should we pack- long sleeve, short sleeve or both? Heavy or light jacket? I know it is the rainy season but not sure about temperatures. We live in humid Alabama so we are accustomed to heat. Thanks for any suggestions.

Both, plus shorts and long pants. A light jacket should be plenty, and an umbrella apiece. It rains primarily at night, although this rainy season is a little odd so far~we've had several rainy mornings, and it's been more humid than usual during the days. You can keep pretty good track of the weather here at www.weatherunderground.com. Just type in Guadalajara Mexico in the city search field and click. They're fairly accurate, although occasionally a day behind in updates. But hey, it's Mexico. My usual weather forecast is made by looking out the window: aha, the sun is shining. Aha, the stars are out. Wow, big lightning. Oooooh, the thunder is close, unplug the computer. Such a life.

Hi Esperanza. I have another solution. Not only does it show the Guadalajara weather but Chapala's as well. It also gives me the daily "Best Air Fares", between my home town and destination of choice, Guadalajara and the latest rate of exchange for the peso.

You can do it too using various services. I chose Yahoo and created a personalized home page. Anyone interested can go to www.yahoo.com and then click on the "MY" icon on the top left hand side of the page. Your home page can show everything from what I quoted above to several selections from the newspaper comics to sports, you name it, it's there. You simply have to take the time to choose the options you desire, an operation that could take 5 to 25 minutes depending upon your familiarity with the system.
