Try Costco or Sam's, if you have a membership to either or both. And try Eckar de Gas...they sell all appliances. All three of these are in Guadalajara. With Eckar de Gas, delivery is scheduled for when you want it, and it's fast. Neither Costco nor Sam's delivers that I know of.

But why in the world would you want a dryer? There's this big yellow thing in the sky that's efficient and free...

Right on..... With the money you save on hydro and the initial cost of the dryer, you could enjoy the better things in life...

You can buy these appliances also locally at "Mueblera de Lago" in Chapala, Madero #443 (the department store with the stairs, two blocks from the traffic light). They deliver to your home.

Viu and Tio Sam’s in Guadalajara have a wide selection of good products, good prices, and they both deliver to Lakeside. I know several who have bought major appliances at both in the last 12 months and have been well satisfied.

Yes, a problem with Sam’s and Costco are that they do not deliver. Also they don’t have as wide of a selection of appliances as Viu or Tio Sam’s.

Yes, Taz, a gas dryer is a waste. The sun does it better. It used to be called a clothes line. Now the modern techno-lingo makes it a passive solar dryer. Cheap, efficient and environmentally friendly.

Using solar energy to dry your clothes also saves you the maintenance and up keep of a dryer. In fact your clothes will dry much faster in the sun and smell Downy fresh on a clothes lines. I can hang out one load and by the time the next is ready to be hung out the first is dry.

I agree why a drier, but for appliances the best price is Tio Sam's in Guad. They are on the south side of Ninos Heroes, just west of Federalismo. Delivery is 150 pesos

I don´t recomend you to buy them here at lakeside because the prices are RELLY expenses (much more than the delivery) Try in Guadalajara the following: Viu, Eckar de Gas, Elecktra, Paviche and Famsa, they are all very close to La minerva and it will not take you more than half a day to get buy your things and 3 days to deliver them to you place!

Yes, generally prices are more expensive at Lakeside than in Gaudalajara but not in every case significantly so. An exception is a very standard Mexican made Whirlpool refrigerator a friend bought in Jocotepec - price was about the same as in Guadalajara.

And in Guadalajara there is a much better selection of appliances than at Lakeside.
