OK, I haven't seen the lake since 2001, and want to see it now. Talked a friend into coming with me from Mazatlán. She wants to go to Guad first, and I have to look at where to stay there. (Any info on centro locations appreciated). And then 2 days in Chapala or Ajijic, probably between Oct 22 and 25. I have read here about the place near the plaza in Ajijic that is economical. Also, I remember seeing a lovely hotel on the water in Chapala that was a little pricy, but very nice. Some connection with DH Lawrence, I think. We would like separate rooms, but we are not big spenders. Advice appreciated! Thanks.
