Greetings all - does anyone have a recommendation for a GIANT tile store in Guadalajara? I am looking for a decorative porcelain, high-fire tile border (NOT Talavera) to match white porcelain tile in my bathroom. I've noticed a bunch of tile stores in Guad and a lot of them seem, driving by, to have a large selection but I wondered if anyone had any experience with any of them and could recommend one that dealt in the higher fire stuff. I only need a few meters of it, it's a border, but I would love to find someplace that had a really good selection! Just haven't found what I have been looking for Lakeside, but welcome any suggestions for around here too. Mil gracias-- Jsandrock The best tile store that I've found in Guadalajara is: El Rincón del Barro Mexicano Avenida Niños Héroes No. 1633-A Colonia Moderna 44190 Guadalajara Tel: 33-3585-8788 Owner: Ing. José I. Arias Quirarte He has samples of everything and is also willing to do special design orders. I've bought from him many times and recommend him highly, both for service and price. His prices are much, much less expensive than prices for the same tiles in Tlaquepaque or Tonalá. I've checked. http://www.mexicocooks.typepad.com
