Three more questions

Can't Post | Private Reply
I posted this below, but I don't think it made it to the top of the stack.

My wife and I need to stay in close contact with our stateside offices while we are in Ajijic.

1. Will our Alltel cell phones work in roam mode while there?

2. If not, what is the easiest/cheapest way to stay in phone contact while there?

3. Is the cyber cafe a reasonable way to stay in email contact?

Thanks again,

Pat

I recently used my verizon wireless phone to call home to CA while in Ajijic. Worked fine.

Pat,

I can't speak to the phone question, nor can I specifically address internet cafe use in Ajijic, but I've had a lot of success staying in touch with emails (and all other misc stuff that I do on the net) by using internet cafes in various cities across Mexico. Sometimes the connections have been a bit slow, but in general it works. I would expect that you can find someplace reliable there.

Regards,

E&F

At least three of the internet cafes in Ajijic have high speed internet connections. The one many of my friends use is the CIA (Cafe internet Ajijic)
