Struck it rich!

I swear there is gold in them thar pages. I got Uncle Donnie's book yesterday and read waaay too late but just couldn't put it down. It has exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. I knew it would be well written and funny, that was a given, but who knew it would be so jammed packed full of useful, usable information! Just his section on rentals and buying alone were well worth the cover price. I kept reading sections to my husband. We're going to be much better equipped to go forth and find our perfect retirement nest. His description of what to ask about and what to look for, or look out for, are informative al well as hysterical. It complements Teresa, Blue and Tony's books wonderfully. I think that they should be combined as a set and sold as a survival guide.

The cover is great and at last there's a face to put with the wonderful articles that I've been reading.

hee hee...i was making these same comments last week.

FOLKS, IF YOU PLAN TO MOVE TO MEXICO YA GOTTA GET THIS BOOK:

Don Adam's Head for Mexico - The Renegade Guide

http://www.trafford.com/robots/02-0375.html

there's a section in there that groups all the negatives together...and it does make you gulp.

but it could save some people a lot of hardship and expense.

You're way ahead of me Sandy. Try as I might it was just too big a book to finish in one sitting. Your initial response was right on.

i didn't finish it in one sitting...took several days...but remember, I ordered mine and then posted the URL

there is so much material, that you have to keep going back.

i've kinda reached the stage when I think I've got enough "retire in Mexico" guidebooks (tho I think I'll order Choose Mexico - hey, the cover is so enticing!).

now I want to read the narrative and camping ones

Just got the word from the publisher (great turn-around time from order) that mine is on the way. Congrats Uncle Donnie on a book that folks are enjoying so much! What's your sequel going to be?

Hi Rose,

Not exactly sequels but I have a novel plotted out, and hope to get started on it with my collaborator sometime early next year. And the second is a strange conglomeration that I can't reveal at this time. A lot of the research is done and the writing should go quickly. Both are Mexico-based.

And as far as Head for Mexico is concerned I'm setting up my website so that updates and changes can be accessed free online without you having to buy a new book.

Glad to hear good things about Trafford. And thanks for your kind words.

Yes, Trafford was great, got mine within 10 days or so. Your new book - this will be something to look forward to . I just love the way you write, great style, wonderful sense of humor. My favorite part of the book was "Be the First on Your Block to do the Molcajete" - I read it to my husband - neither one of us could stop laughing. Well, we hope to meet you in November so you can autograph your book for us.
