Problems at mlsmexico.com

The site is down and looks like the MLS/GIL has yet one more problem as explained on the mlsmexico.com site.

I read on on of the other boards that their legal battles from a couple of years back are still not over so this sounds like one more log on the fire, IMHO.

They are, according to another forum, in the process of changing site -the new one will be www.chapalamls.com - all may not be over!

I saw the new site and its with the exception of some graphics it's the same format. Going back and reading the information on the old site it looks like there is a problem with the actual site software. What leads me to think there is some truth to this problem is the change of domains. Why would someone that has used mlsmexico.com for as long as I can remember want to change. Unless there was a reason they had to. That said I'm sure we will have some sort of real estate website around for years to come.

I heard from a Realtor in Ajijic that GIL appealed to a higher court and that GIL won.

As I understand it (read it in recent news article), part of the investigation/suit was dismissed (the monopoly part), with another part still under investigation and in appeal process.
