New gallery opening for talented young photographer

Several years ago, while idling on the Ajijic Plaza, I struck up an acquaintance, which over time became a warm friendship, with a young photographer selling his work there. Many of you who live in the Lake Chapala area, or have visited, may have seen the work of Jay Koppelman. Speaking as a photographer myself, this guy's talent is really special. On November 19, he and his lovely Mexican girlfriend Veronica are opening a new gallery just a few doors down from the Plaza. If you live in the area, or plan to be here around mid-November, please try to make this opening. Here is the announcement he sent to me:

Hola Amigos!

Veronica and I are happy to invite you to the opening of our gallery, Studio 18, on Friday, November 19th at 6pm. We will be exhibiting my photographs of Mexico and Ecuador, many of which have never been seen before. The gallery is located at Colón #18 in Ajijic, two doors down from the Bancomer. Available at the opening will be my new book The Through Line – A Journey from Darkness into Life – In Mexico. We hope to see you there! Jay Koppelman (766-3745)
