Sorry if I got the string locked when I joked, about Mr T stirring up the pot. I meant nothing negative by it. I was just trying to post something. I was shocked to learn that the police did respond more lakeside on 9/11. I was at the family summer cottage at the time up north and didn't come back until about 9-20 and by then I saw nothing different. I didn't know about the increased police presence until I read comments by other posters

Thanks, Pete. I do not think there was a police presence in lakeside after 9-11, based upon the respones to my post, but I know what you are trying to do and it is much appreciated. T

No problem!

We were in Ajijic during the 9/11 period and the day after, we met and talked with some black car police dispatched from Guad who had been sent out to the lake side. They were concerned about the American presence at lakeside and apparently about 5 cars were dispatched to "keep an eye on things." I don't remember what police force they were with.

We did not observe any military presence.

The day after that we didn't see any of the black car police around.

Thanks David, for your informative response. It is good to know that the policia were here and made their presence known, Some folks are bailing out of Lakeside after last weeks multiple incidents and another burned car blockade on the GDl-Chapala Highway within the last two days T

none of the recent events have anything to do with your original op-t. and black trucks are either state or federal police.state uniforms are camoflage[sic] and feds are black.
