MANIX Restaurant Review in Ajijic

Last night, Thursday March 10, seven of us from our Bi Monthly Dinner group ate at Manix restaurant. We were the only ones there, so we received excellent service. Some of us had mixed drinks while others had soft drinks. We ordered our meals. They give you a choice of soup or salad. The salad comes with separate bowls of dressing so you can choose what you like and how much you like. Last night's soup was Zuchinni. It was excellent and creamy.

For our Entrees, several people ordered the Osso Bucco, which can be had ONLY on Wednesday and Thursday night. Manix is well known for this dish. Several others including myself ordered the Veal Valdostana, which is thin strips of Veal wrapped in Prosciutto and cheese with a Mushroom sauce. Very tasty. I highly recommend it. You can get it two ways, either with Fettucinne Alfredo or with Twice baked potato, veggies (carrots, zuchinni, brocolli) and corn souffle. Mmmm good.

Great review. John. I think I read somewhere, that Manix has been in existence for 22 years. If that is true, they may be the oldest living restaurant in Ajijic. T.

That's true and it's the oldest restaurant in Ajijic. I understand Bruno's has been here a long time too.

I don't know how most of these restaurants survive.
