Looking for used Toyota hubcap

I apparently lost one of my hubcaps when I nicked a curb recently. Does anyone know of a shop in the Lake Chapala area where I can find used hubcaps for a Toyota Corolla (2005 LE)? Doesn't need to be new, just in reasonable shape and not too expensive. I don't want to buy a whole set of new hubcaps just to replace one old one.

Here is what I´d try:

Go by bus to the the local (regional) bus station in Guadalajara and head over to the auto parts thieves market in the vicinity. Any taxi driver can direct you to it. Have a tout (hod carrier) kid find you any auto part ever available on Planet Earth all the way back to a mule harness.

There are businesses in the Chapala area who will do this for you for a fee but it´s worth it for a rear view mirror although who the hell needs hubcaps in Mexico. All they do is make your car a more attractive target for thieves including the cops.

A few years ago in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Guadalajara a block or so from the Carmen Hospital, I parked on the street for 20 minutes and when I came back from the hospital, both outside rear view mirrors had been excised from my Ford Ranger in nanoseconds. I was told to head for the thieves market and I could probably buy them back for a fraction of what a dealer would charge me but I went instead to a dealer and it cost me a fortune. Now I know why they were stolen-

Don't know where you're living, but I've passed an extensive junkyard in Joco. Could be more convenient.

Some kind soul picked up a tail light assembly for me last year from a junkyard between Chapala and Guad.
It was like new. He said there were a bunch of junkyards in that area. Maybe someone else knows directions.

One choice, rather than driving with three hubcaps, would be to buy a nice-looking generic set of hubcaps for $200 - $300mxp until you could find a factory-correct match for the missing one. Since they are not factory wheels, I don't imagine Corolla hubcaps are all that special, are they? Just anchor each of the generic ones with a zip-tie for security and you will blend right in with the locals.

If you can arrange to get them from someone NOB, kmart sells generic ones that will fit properly. They are plastic but look quite decent. We bought them for our Toyota last time we were NOB for $19.99 plus sales tax. All four in one box.

I suspect a NOB walmart would carry something like this, too - or even amazon or eBay.

Peter- Any idea where to buy such generic hubcaps for a Toyota in the Lake Chapala area?
