We really appreciate all the help, it is very encouraging!
Uncle Donnie, thanks so much for making a trip to find the dog food.
We have some property for sale, and if it sells, which we may know in the next few weeks, we'll probably start planning our visit.
I suppose it is impossible to rent a small, charming place at a reasonable cost before Christmas?? Might as well aim high, right? We would love to spend Christmas there. We are thinking we would come for 3-6 months for a get acquainted/rest and recover from too much work/unwind and get in touch with ourselves again/visit.
Again, thanks for all the great advice.
