Looking for a room at the INN

Can't Post | Private Reply
My wife and I are coming down on the 3rd of Sept and leaving on the 10th. We are considering staying at either Swan Inn or La Posada.

Any recommendations either way?

Also. can one obtain temporary membership with the Lake Chapala Society? We would like to look around the facility, sit and have a cup of coffee etc., without feeling like we are imposing on the regular members generousity. We are more than willing to pay a reasonable fee for temp membership, if that is allowed.

Thanks,

Pat

Hello Pat, The only membership that the LCS has is a full time membership, This way all members are the same. The membership is for one year from Jan. to Dec. It only costs 450 pesoes. Thats 45.00 U.S. For this you can have a warm glow in your tummy because you have helped support the Society's out reach to the area. You will also have use of the all the other services. Alist of these can be had from the Office. However if you are just going to be here for a few days or weeks, You both will be welcome to come in walk around and look, and have a coffee or coke Did you know that the grounds are now open until 5:00 p.m. Hope this helps.

The Swan Inn, an 8-room B&B, is quiet, charming, centrally located, welcoming, and delightful, with personalized attention to every detail of your stay.

The Nueva Posada is also delightful, just larger and more of a hotel than a B&B.

*I have no vested interest in either of them, by the way.
