Can anyone recommend a lawyer or two you've had personal experience with in the Ajijic/Chapala area? Am specifically interested in wills, estates and real estate. Thanks...

You need to speak to a notario. This is what that type of lawyer is called in Spanish.

I recommend Notario #5 in Chapala. His name is Macias. On the left, bright orange, as you enter Chapala from the West.
