The last I heard they had closed down and were up for sale.

Before that I used to go there every week for breakfast. Wonderful quiet views of the mountains and great coffee.

I have seen the rooms, which are actually suites and they are really nice, clean, and completely furnished. Fridge and stove are common. Satellite TV. Room service is also available and they do have a restaurant. They also just to have nightly entertainment in the bar area, but have not heard of any activity lately.

Unfortuantely it had manageent problems and many of us at Lakeside will miss this place until it is bought and brought back to life.

It sounds like a nice place....

We were hoping to book a few weeks there next January...

So if anyone hears anything recent about the place, pls let me know..

Saw our friend Sam R. the other day and he said he had moved into an apartment at La Joya recently. New management, the "kids" have moved out, most is as it was when we all loved it, but no musical evenings so far. Great news! Now for them to get the dancing back.......
