Pickup the Lake Chapala Review (free publication) lakeside (or eventually the article will be on-line via their website) to read Make Your Health Decisions in Advance, p. 5 Health Care directives are available and legally recognized, but getting them in place takes a little understanding of how to do it. Health care directives can be 'imported' from the US, for example, by using an "apostille" process and getting them legally translated into Spanish. To complement this effort, mirror those health care directives in the Mexican federal end-of-life legislation, legal throughout Mexican because it comes from the federal government. These directives are restricted, however, to a terminal situation with a life expectancy of 6 month. More information is available in the article and additional references.
