Kayaking on Lake Chapala

We have friends coming in a couple of weeks who love to kayak. We've noticed kayaks a few times on the top of vehicles on the carretera.

Do you know of a place Lakeside where kayaks can be rented? Phone number or location, please.

Frank, on my way to PV for a week but I'll check in with some kayaking friends when I get back. They're sure to know the answers.

We kayak on Lake Chapala but are not in the area presently. You should check with the owner of Que! restaurant in La Canacinta (west Ajijic on the carraterra). His name is Ruben, and is a kayaker and has two at his restaurant and possibly he would rent them out. He speaks English and is a very nice fellow. Good luck!

gosh, i tried searching for a thread on this topic, but didn't find it and have just posted the same question.

so, people do kayak on the lake. Do you/they use decked kayaks? Anyone use sit-on-tops? I have a 15' decked boat and 2 Hobie Pursuit SOTs.

With 5 years to go til retirement, I'm not sure which way to go. Would it be stupid to take them all? I envision trips to PV and other places.

i believe i've seen your name with birdwatching info???? That was another question I have. Any birding groups that go on outings, including camping?

I am slowly going through earllier postings...am on page 5!

many thanks
