His name is Tejeda, not Tejada - there is your problem.

Tejeda. You posted his email address incorrectly, which means you probably sent the email to a non-existent address.

Thanks to you and bouremouth. Had two different spellings and sent it to the wrong spelling. T.

Sent Jesus an e-mail and he responded within five minutes. Wow! If this is the kind of service that he gives, I am in. T.

Let us know what Company he insures you with, the cost of your insurance and the value they place on your vehicle.

Insurance premiums do vary in Mexico between Agents.

Thanks for your concern, John.

I have a US plated 2001 Dodge Neon with 101, 000 miles on it.

I sent Jesus the VIN and he was able to look it up and describe the car perfectly to me. He said the Kelly blue book value is 4,500 dollars. I think that is about double, but do not think that it will impact the cost of my insurance, as it seems that once the value of a car reaches 5,000 USD or less, the cost of insurance does not change, as I am at the lowest end of car values, so actually, if he gives it a value of 4,500 dollars, that will help me in the event of theft or having it totalled in an accident.

The company is AXA.

The cost is 319.94 per year. Increasing liability to 100,000 USD. would bring it to 495.48

Collision has a dedcutibe of of 200 USD

Comprehensive deductible is 400 USD

Liability has no deductible 50,000 USD

Medical expenses has no dedutible, max 25,000 USD per vehicle occupant.

Legal assistaance is included.
Not sure I need to upgrade the liability from 50,000 USD to 100,000 for 175 USD extra for the policy. Seems like 50,00 USD, or roughly 575,000 pesos should cover any damage that I can do driving around lakeside never over 40 mph at 67 years of age.
I told Jesus that I wanted the best coverage that he has to offer for me.

Would enjoy hearing your thoughts, or those of anyone else on this topic.

Especially, what additional questions I should ask him.

He is sending me a copy of all of the terms of the policy this afternoon, in Spansih and English, so will no more later. He has also invited me to ask him any additonal questions that I have. His responsiveness and knowledge has impressed me very much. I am looking for a "forever" agent. Tired of shopping around for car insurance. What a pain in the butt. Thanks for any help or advice. T.
