We spent a night there last year and found it to be a great value.....an excellant location as well. Clean but plain and and bit tired but plenty of hot water. We didn't try the restaurant but had heard it was quite good. We parked the car right in front with no problems but for the life of us, we can't remember if we had a reservation - I suspect we did, since i remember discussing the parking situation. Good luck.

Just out of curiosity, do you remember what you paid? Hotel Italo is without a doubt the best location in Ajijic for walkers, but we seldom, if ever hear anything about it. fug

Inexpensive at $299 for one person. I know it also has a weekly rate that is even less per night.

I do know of people who have apartments at the hotel and live in it permanently for about $400 US a month or that's what it was a few years ago.

I can't remember what we paid, but I'm sure it wasn't much over $40 USD, if that much. The owner was quite gracious!
