The level of the lake is more or less what it was at this time last year~perhaps a little less. It's expected that there will be water released to the lake on June 10, although there is some talk of delay.
The weather is about as hot this year as it was last year, although the heat started a little later. We had a reprieve until about the middle of April. May was hot and dry, in the low 90s or above most of the month. We had two nights of rain, May 22 and May 23, that gave us all hope...but the real rains won't start for another week or two. Guadalajara has had more rain than we've had at lakeside (two weeks ago in Tonalá there was an enormous storm that uprooted trees, left low-lying areas flooded, and bounced hailstones off the table in the restaurant where I was eating).
