Has anyone at Lakeside had problems with Propane Deliveries?

Has anyone at Lakeside had problems with Propane deliveries?

We called Gas Licuado on Wednesday three times, called again on Thursday three times, called again on Friday AM and they showed up about 12:00. We have been doing business with them for 9 years and NEVER had a problem before. They ALWAYS came within 2 hours.

My friends in our Community waited 1 /12 days for Propane. Another friend in a different part of town waited 2 days. I don't know who their propane suppliers are.

Does anyone have a clue what's going on?

Well, John. We have bought propane from Gaz Liquado in Ajijic for some ten years now and have never had any sort of problem whatsoever. Gas is delivered in all instances within a few hours of our having ordered it. The same is true at our house in Chiapas where gas must be delivered by an especially small truck since our home there is on a narrow street.

Like I said, first problem in 9 years. People on TOB are complaining about ZETA GAS.

Haven't had any problem, but haven't ordered gas in a couple months. It's about time to do so. Appreciate the warning. I'll make sure I allocate more than the usual two hours in case I have to sit around the house more than I would normally expect. We'll see.

Yep bought gas three times last year from Zeta gas and was told each time 1 to 2 hours. Longest
was 11 hours shortest was 4 hours. I think it is obvious that they tell you what you want to hear
and the guys on the truck do what they want.

"...they tell you what you want to hear." No shit. Ooooh Mexico! However, Dawg has found delivery is somwhat expedited by propinas.

In Alabama, the equivalent of "no problem" is "Yassuh". Both mean what you want to hear and nothing more.

I've had a home here since 1997. I have tried various companies and the gas company I like best is Gas liquado or Zeta Gas. The people there know me and when I go into the office I speak to them in Spanish and ask them when I should be home so that the driver will find me there with the money. They phone up the driver via cell and he tells them when he can be there. It isn't always within a few hours but the truck has come when they say they can come.

What's the secret to my good luck? I treat the employees with respect, I joke with them in Spanish, and they remember me because (soy pocho de nacolandia) because I kid around with them and make jokes with them in my low class Spanish.

My update: I've also used Zeta/Gas Licuado for two years. Live in lower Ajijic, about 3 blocks from their office.

Anyway, I don't go into their office or joke with them. I just call them and ask for service over the phone. (Also in Spanish, ain't difficult....they know why you're calling and all they need is the address, a name, and phone number.) Called yesterday afternoon around 2:30.....was told the as ever "two hours" by the woman on the phone. They didn't show.

Called again this morning around 9:30 a.m.. Explained (yeah, Spanish) that I had called yesterday but they hadn't shown up. When I gave her my address she pulled it up and evidently could see that I was still on their list of orders since she didn't ask for any other info. They hadn't shown up by 12:30 when I had to go to class, so I just left figuring I'd call again tomorrow. Left the house for several hours.....returned for a bit.....then left again for a couple hours and returned after eating.

They showed up and filled the tank around 7:30 tonight. I did notice that it was a new (or different for our house) employee filling the tank.

Good enough for me. Our tank is easy to keep an eye on, in the cochera, so I just call when it gets down to about 30%.
