Global Medical Health Insurance

Does anyone know anything about Global Medical Insurance? I'm trying to figure out what kind of private health insurance to buy when I move to Chapala. Thanks!

That is a big issue. If you purchase Mexican insurance from an international providers, they base your rate on Mexican Medical costs. If you need attention in the US or other countries, your coverage will probably not be enough. I purchased BUPA knowing it would not cover my expense in the states but figured it was better than nothing. Not much better though.. Perhaps you can find a better solution.

We had Global Medical for a year, but the premiums went up so much, we switched to New York Life at about one-half the cost and reasonably good coverage. This is New York Life through Joel Ruiz, not through Lake Chapala Society.
