if you are here don't miss it. it seems smaller than last year but there is some excellent stough to look at.
being a connaisseur of fine art there are certain paintings in the mexican folk art genre that really excite me so this time i bought a beauty eh!

Before becoming a connoisseur I would think that one should at least learn how to spell it. Oh! by the way, love the new mask, lots of class. Not, just saying.

Pedro, this is just FYI: the painting you bought (the one attached to your post) is a knockoff of a painting by Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Botero, very well known for his social commentary paintings of...shall we say...Rubenesque men, women, and animals, has become a very popular guy to copy.

This year the Feria was bigger and better than ever; 80+ artists instead of the usual 60. Lots of entertainment too!

thanks fer the link esperanza. the one i got can't hold a candle to botero's work. it is a popular folk art idiom in most of latin america and the first time i saw it a few years ago i decided i must have one;preferably not a print. make sure you spell everything correctly to make martycrawdad happy-SNORK!
