Has anyone sent out an envelope FedX package from Lakeside to the US and/or had same sent to them at Lakeside? For the package coming into Lakeside, where is it shipped to.... what address does one use to FedX something back in? Any idea as to the cost out/in for just an envelop (business papers)?

Thanks.

My nephew sends me FedEx packages from the States in Document envelopes, like the ones you're talking about. It arrives in 2 - 3 days depending on how busy FedEx is. Have it shipped directly to your home address in Mexico. FedEx delivers daily to Lakeside as does UPS. I think the cost from the States is about $ 30. USD, although I'm not sure because my nephew works for FedEx/Kinkos and gets huge discounts.

You can also ship FedEx or UPS directly from your house to anywhere in the World. I did this all the time when selling Japanese China on eBay. Both companies pick up daily. You need to call them for a pick up and give the correct info. They have English speaking people. UPS Toll Free is: 01 800 902 9200.

Thanks, John.

What I have found out from FedX and UPS is that it costs about $70 to send an envelop from mid-US to Ajijic; the reverse trip is about $425 pesos using the same addresses. Neither of these are for 'express' service.

That, in and of itself, is another testimony to the 'cost of living' differences between the two countries.

The FedEx to México used to be about $35 dollars until they doubled the price not long ago.

You can also have a FedEx package shipped lakeside to Barbara's Bazar or Mailboxes Etc. Just stop by and get the delivery address. Then charge a small fee for accepting the package for you and you can pick it up any time.

FedEx and UPS will deliver to your home, just like up north. There's no need to use an itermediary unless you're not going to be home. I sent some documents north recently via UPS, cost was $500 pesos.

I used FedEx to send a large envelope of paperwork to Nevada a couple of months ago. Sent it from Mailboxes, Etc., and they told me it would be in Carson City the next day! I found this a bit hard to believe, but sure enough, it was in the hands of the recipient in less than 24 hours!!! It cost about 400MXP, but was worth it to have such quick service. They will also accept FedEx at their office in San Antonio and hold it for you.
