Is there a place in Tlacapaque that gives out drivers license? Heard there was, but need directions.

You are probably referring to "Pila Seca" which is located at Blv. Marcelino Garcia Barragan & Av. Ninos Heroes in Tlaquepaque. I was there last Tuesday to obtain a police clearance letter and asked if I could also get a driver's license there and they said "no". They advised I could get a Licencia Manejo at the following location: Prolongacion Av. Alcal de esquina con Circunualacion or Plaza las Torres, Av. Lazaro Cardenas y 8 de julio. A friend obtained hers at "Las Aguilas" at Av. Lopez Mateos Sur #5150, Col. las Aguilas, Zapopan (Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) Tel. 30.44.70.50.

Does this mean we can no longer get one at Lakeside?

Please tell me you don't have to take a driving test in Guad.

Can you give us a mas-o-menos cross street or directions for how to get to this office -- where on Lopez Mateos Sur is it? How far into town?

Hopefully you can park there - and ditto the further post, does this mean we can't get licenses at Lakeside any more?
