Crossing at Nogales on Sunday?

Can't Post | Private Reply
My FM-3 was issued on 1/14/08 and says it becomes invalid after 90 days. My math says the last day is this Sunday. As usual I am running behind and would like to cross on Sunday. Is this possible and if so what are the hours do declare at customs and get the car permit? If I have to cross on Saturday what are the hours? Thanks again....Dennis.

From the looks of this link it is not open on Sunday, but there are numbers you can call for information.

The downtown crossing at Nogales is open 24/7. The Mariposa Road truck route is open something like 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. You need to go as far as Kl. 21 to get your FM3 signed in. You have to complete a form which they stamp, as well as stamping the FM3 - I would err on the side of caution and go a day or two earlier than your estimate of the final date. The immigration office there will surely be open by 6 a.m. or thereabouts. I believe it is supposed to be open 24 hours a day but would not bank on that. Sunday should not make much difference other than there will be no trucks crossing north as the truck gate is not open - the gate for cars etc. is open. You will face a lot of traffic when crossing back into the US as people go shopping and to visit friends/family NOB.
