Ceramics Supplies in Chapala/Guadalajara?

Can't Post | Private Reply
Greetings all - I'm planning to set up a low-fire ceramics studio in whatever house we end up in when we FINALLY get down to Lakeside hopefully by the end of the year, if our house here ever sells (sigh)...are any of you doing ceramics "at home" or know someone you can refer me to? I have to believe that somewhere in Guadalajara there is a good art supply store where I can purchase glazes, clay, etc. Or is there even something closer to the Lake? Or do you have to find a U.S. supplier to ship ceramics supplies in? Glaze wouldn't be so bad -- little bottles -- but clay is HEAVY! Doesn't seem to make sense to me with so many artists living/working in the area, but maybe I am wrong about this! Also would be looking for sources to purchase other miscellaneous art supplies, such as acrylic paints, stained glass supplies, etc.

Ideas/hints from all artists out there greatly appreciated.

Many thanks, Jillian
