Bloviator--aka Dick Lyman

Our friend who posted on MexConnect as 'Bloviator'--aka Dick Lyman of Ajijic--is much missed on this and other web boards. He made a zillion posts here; many of you will remember his trials and tribulations when he went to California for a visit, failed to have his vehicle sticker removed before crossing the border, and his car was subsequently stolen. That was a lesson for all of us! Dick was a goad, a nudge, was irrepressibly irritating to many, and, above all, a truly great guy.

His last post on MexConnect was in December 2008, written as he was moving back to the States.

Dick is currently in very bad health; he's not expected to live much longer. Please think of him and his wife Doris during these next few days.

I've met Dick and Doris over lunch before they left for the States. He is a fine person, and will be missed. I hear that he's going into Hospice care, probably at home.

I posted on the other board regarding Dick Lyman. He is still with us as of this date. They are adjusting his medications to give him the best quality of life. I will be happy to update this forum as I learn anything more current.
