Best time to visit?

My wife and I are planning our first trip to lakeside, and find that early September is the most convenient for us. What can we expect weatherwise? Is September still in the rainy season. etc.? Thanks in advance.

Yes, September is in the middle of the rainy season but not to worry. For the most part, it rains at night and the days are spectacular, not to mention the incredibly lust, green vegetation at that time of the year. For my money, you could not have selected a better month. Have a great trip.

Yikes, Musicman, I think you meant incredibly lush...

But I surely do second the motion; September is a GREAT time of year to be in the area.

LOL.... Holy Cow!! Boy, Musicman, I was frantically packing my bag until esperanza corrected your slip. Oh well, "lush" isn't too bad either.
