Anyone else get banned from the Inside Lakeside Forum without cause? Haven't posted in some time but today I am banned, Cannot contact Canuck Bob to find out what happened. Suggestions?

So, you can't even "view" the forum? - wow, that's rude. However, if your IP is blocked that might be causing that. Well, consider it one of life's little blessings given without notice or explanation.

As Steve tried to show you with that link you can not go to, You have not been banned. Rather there is a good chance the IP number presently assigned to your modem/router could be blocked. So why not simply get a new IP number assigned to your device, by turning the power off to it for say 30 seconds and then plugging it in again and assuming all you needed was a new IP #, everything will start working correctly.

This is not "scientific", but....

I would recommend leaving the modem/router off for more than 30 seconds..... say a couple of minutes. The 'host' may not get around to looking at your router within that 30 seconds and therefore would not assign another IP address to yours.

I was banned this morning and finally unplugged my modem for 20 minutes, got a new IP .... and logged in as usual. Had a conversation with Bob about it on the forum

I've been on Telecable for a year now and about once a week I have to kill the modem and my wireless router as well. For some reason, maybe the volume of data I upload, the whole FTP operation grinds to a halt. The first couple times it happened they said they had to "clean" the modem? - so I started "cleaning" it myself by dropping out and to the point where I actually have a two switch panel specifically wired for the purpose and I just reach down and switch off, wait and bring the modem back up and then the router and it clears the system, more likely it either moves me to a new IP and/or server and then we're in good shape again.

Oh, and as far as a "Con" filter, if they have one, it's broke because I post there from time to time and my preferences are fairly well documented - ha.

I have read plenty of conservative statements on that forum. Furthermore, as it turns out, you weren't banned in the first place and you owe an apology to CBOB for spreading that story over here, where it doesn't belong.

You have to really work at it to get banned on the Inside Lakeside forum. LOL.

I'd never heard "man up" till a month ago when some Jerk on TomZap called me out with a PM. He wanted me to "man up" and meet him in private .... to figure things out.
