Bank of America/Serfin

I just read a news story over on the MXC news page that Bank of America bought a 25% interest in Serfin Bank. Obviously this is a move to establish themselves in the US to Mexico money flow.

Question: Is there a Serfin bank branch at Lakeside?

Yes UJ...the Serfin bank is located on Hidalgo (the main road, not the libramiento, to Chapala as you come from Ajijic) just before you get to the traffic light in Chapala. It's on the right-hand side of the street.

Hi, Jack, there's also a branch of Serfin Bank in Jocotepec right on the main drag into town.

Here's some more useful information. Lloyd which is located lakeside, Guad, PV etc has an account with B of A. I regularly transfer money to my Ajijic Lloyd account by transferring funds into Lloyd's San Diego Account

Can you transfer online from B of A to Lloyd San Diego? I use B of A's online banking and bill pay for years...........never had a problem with them. Actually was one of the beta testers for the system back in the 80's. Only switched to Wells Fargo because they have a correspondent bank in Montana where my daughter lives.

I don't know. I just phone up my "pers" banker and ask him to transfer same into Lloyd's account. THey may be doing me a favor, as I think normally you would wire the money to Lloyd's account. I just know it works for me.
