NOPE!!! Now is not the time to sell with the way things are and will be in the US for a couple years. No jobs and more foreclosures than in 2010 thanks to our useless President.

All our realtor friends say its shaping up to be an extrememly slow year. The barometer is the number of snowbirds who seek relators attention on "shoe me" tours...not much happening. Also the winter rentals are down with a lot available still, although prices remain high.

Well, Terry........since you're in the business, you don't need to troll on here for more input. You know how it's going.

As long as the folks NOB think we're going to get killed by the cartels, business won't be so good.
And, as long as they can't sell their houses NOB and move anywhere.......they won't be buying here.
DUH.

Gringal - Thanks for the post. Oh, he's a Realtor! That explains a lot.

Take a look at the other thread where she says Cartels are coming to Ajijic soon. She just hurt her business when people read that or is she trying to drive prices down to a moderate level so she can sell more? Just a guess.

You would think that he would have more intelligence than to post that crap.

Well it could be worse. We have friends who moved here who bought up in Patzcuaro in '06, which was probably the peak of the real estate frenzy both here and there. As you can imagine, not a lot of gringos buying up there at the moment.

I wish those trying to sell their homes the best, but IMHO there aren't any hopeful signs on the horizon in terms of U.S. buyers. More downside for housing prices in most of the U.S., likely sustained double-digit unemployment. Americans tend to be uniquely obsessed with owning rather than renting, but it's a dubious idea in the U.S. and a bad one in a developing country with an ongoing civil war and dubious rule of law, where one could need to pack up and leave at any time.

Problem is most of the publicity of Lakeside is by people and online venues with a vested interest in selling real estate.

I agree with you, once again. How much time do you spend in lakeside and why are you so smart? My heart goes out to homeowners here, who have paid cash for their homes and will soon lose 50% or more if the drug cartels keep moving in. T

T, aka Terry, aka Zoey: Ever been banned from a web board around here for trolling? ROFL. The mods on this one are pretty tolerant, though.

Enough of this "the sky is falling" troll talk. Times must be slow in the real estate business for you to be engaging in this sorry attempt to panic the troops, drive down prices and collect Boardwalk as a listing for peanuts. Real estate folks are supposed to exude confidence in the market......uh....aren't they?

BTW, if it's looking so bad.........why are you still here? To hear you tell it, it's getting on to skedaddle time.

The sky is indeed falling in Lakeside, I doubt that any of you will get 50 cents on the dollar based upon whaf you paid and given the current situation here. T
