Ajijic area nursing homes

Can't Post |
A friend of mine is looking for a nursing home to place her disabled husband in for a few weeks, and I suggested that one of the nursing homes in Ajijic might seem like more of a vacation for him. But then I remembered that I know neither the names nor e-mail addresses or reputations of any of the Ajijic-area facilities. Does anyone have that information?

Hi Jennifer,

Susan spend about a month and a half recovering in La Casa Nostra, tel/fax 376 765 4187. We were both very favorably impressed with the whole operation. Her cost, as a bed ridden patient was 1,000 usd per month.

There is another choice, Alicia's. She is a RN and now has 3 places. We have visited friends there and were also impressed with Alicia and her operation.

Jerry

Hi Jennifer,
Jerry is right on with his nursing home info. La Casa Nostra is owned by Mr Beverly Ward, originally from Rochester NY, so you have an American administrator with nursing home experience both in the U.S. and Mexico. The grounds have a nice view of the lake and the food is wonderful. I can personally vouch for the excellent nursing care, and there are also male nurses there as well as female. Alicia is just great, she speaks English and is so kind to her guests. My principal comment is that the nursing care at both places is so much more compassionate and caring than at any facility in the states. Twenty four hours a day, that's the way it is.
