Check out this picture of a flower found in Veracruz state. 2 meters tall and 75 kilos! One of the reasons I love veracruz, lush, tropical and just plain beautiful.

Thanks for the link. Reading the explanation below the photo I was amazed to learn that this plant produces a flower that lasts for only three days only every 40 years!!

Wow! It is amazing how verdant Veracruz is. A mexican singer/comedian Benito Castro made the comment..."¡Veracruz es tan fértil que cuando escupes nace un arbol de saliva!" (Veracruz is so fertile that when you spit a saliva tree grows!). Right now Xalapa is so incredibly green with all the rain from the Gulf hurricanes. Come and share it with us!
