Internet Access in the Smaller Communities

Okay, certainly Xapala has good levels of internet access, with the size of the city and the universities present, I imagine that there is at least ADSL, and maybe wireless or cable service available?

However, what about the smaller nearby communities?

Fortunately Xalapa has very fast connection with MegaRed, even though they are a pain in the posterior about service. Today they reconnected my in-line and the speed is "smokin'"!
You will just have to deal with "la madre" TelMex and Prodigy elsewhere. My friend Peter Schuster who lives on the way to Xico said he had to reconnect over 10 times today with very, very slow connection.
My long distance telephone service is with AT&T and they told me they should be giving us local service by the beginning of next year. I can't wait!!! Then I will get a backup internet account with them, as well as hopefully not being strangled by the overpriced local service of TelMex.
