First visit to Veracruz Nov 17

We will be visiting Veracruz (city) for the first time--for about 6 days. We live in Mexico (Irapuato, Gto.), speak OK Sapnish and love everything Mexican--(well almost everything). ANyway--what should we be sure to see/do/eat? Especially interested in "do-not-miss" ideas. I think we will be in the centro historico. Thanks!

¡Hola amigos costeños!
Be sure to have your "café con leche" or "lechero"(milk with express coffee) with a "canilla"(twisted bread stick) at the Café Parroquia on the Malecón or the Café del Portal near the Plaza de Armas, where you can listen to many kinds of music(marichi, jaranero, trio, salsa, danzon, etc) at the many outdoor restaurants. Visit the Fototeca in the afternoon, the Navel Museum, then walk along the Malecon in the cool of the evening. Go to San Juan de Ullua fortress, and a ride on the tour boats of the port. Have fun!
