Hola Robert, You may want to rent for a year or two before you decide to buy in San Juan del Rio. The culture might seem better than where you came from in Madero... BUT, after dealing with the true San Juan way of life for awhile you may wish you hadn't bought that house. Over half the men have worked or lived in the US for a year or more, it is a very ranchero mindset and even though they seem simple and genuine, it may cause you to run screaming tothe town of Tequisquiapan or some other estado after about 4 or 5 years (like we did). Just a thought from a former San Juan resident... (2002 - 2007) we are 1,000% happier now than we ever were in San Juan - oh yeah, doctors and hospitals are horrible in the town (they all seem to have gone to veteranary school, not med school), always go to Queretaro city if you need any real medical help. Buena suerte! BIL VOTE MAYAN ...For A New Tomorrow!
