Tio Toņo asked if I would post a message of the town and adventure I will a share a few things that I learned on my spanish inundation adventure in Guanajuato. - If you are dancing with a pretty girl, do not tell her: "" eras caliente "".
- After you see her reaction don't try to fix what ever you said by saying that ""fue hablando del chile"".
- When someone wants to introduce you to somebody it is ""presentar"" not introducier.
- A woman a little older is not un poco mas vieja. Esta grande y absalutamente no es anciana.
Yes, I had to straighten out a bit of my spanish to fit Guanajuato but how I loved it. It was like walking into a 15th century Spanish town. Como Espaņa. I am collecting ceramics. I met the famous Gorki potter whom invited me into his studio, house, and garden where we spoke of our adventures around the world for hours. A true embassador. I was truly blessed and impressed on this adventure. Fox arrived for the opera one night and the guards and weapons were everywhere. I did catch two police in a back alley or callejon with thier hands around a kids throat asking for 100 pesos. That was a little uncomfortable. The police hung their heads and walked away in shame. The kid thanked me as if I were a saint and then went and bought another bottle. That was the beginning.
