Winter is here

My neighbor asked if my washing machine could do jackets because it's been in the low 70's here. They put all the 'heavy clothing' in storage for the year and her washer does not have a spin cycle. This week when the sun comes out we will wash the family's winter clothing.

Yes, winter is here in Yucatán as well. It's still about 30° during the day but the humidity is a lot lower. At night, it's dropping to 17° and that is COLD. We've got the comforter on the bed and I'm contemplating adding the electric blanket soon. It's actually perfect weather, cold at night and hot and sunny in the day. I love this time of year, everything is still green from the rainy season but it doesn't rain and the humidity has disappeared as well.

I washed the blankets and jackets last weekend, found my fuzzy slippers and my flannel pajamas - we're ready for winter!
