Oh. My. Goodness.

Now, I have another good reason to visit Guadalajara. See's Candy.

As one who grew on California's central coast with See's, this delights me to no end. I knew See's had a presence at one of the large malls in GDL when I was there a year and half ago...but had no idea that an actual shop existed. Has anyone been to the store...and is it easily accessible?

Haven't been inside but have been to the shopping center where it is located. Fairly easy to get to especially if you are familiar with getting to Sam's/Costco -- go in via Lazaro Cardenas as you approach the interchanges where Av Mexico and Av. Vallarta meet (along with a few other streets) watch for the Av. Patria exit. Take the Patria exit to Av. Partia and turn right. Stay on Av. Patria until you approach Av. Acueducto. Stay in the left lane and return going the opposite direction on Patria.

You have already past the shopping center, it is just on the other side of the street. Stay in the right lane and watch for a couple of landmarks -- Peter Pan Pizza and the Superama Grocery store. Make a right into the street leading to these stores. The Sees Candy is just past the Superama in the next set of stores. There are a few interesting stores in this center including the Superama. I have friends who swear by the quality of the meat. I haven't given it an extensive look but if you close your eyes and spin around three times you may swear that you are in Anytown, USA. There is a Starbucks across the street that is full of youngsters trying to look bored while surfing the 'net having arrived in Daddy's new car. Cheaper than a ticket back home.

One correction. It is Peter Piper Pizza, not Peter Pan Pizza.
