Recommendations for Banks in Puerto Vallerta area

Can't Post | Private Reply
May I have recommendations of Banks in PV who are experienced in dealing with gringos and speak at least, some English? I'm not happy with my bank, Scotiabank at Marina, and I'm looking for alternatives.

Thanks in advance.

Michael

Bancomer has been pushing their preferred customer accounts. We opened ours in Bucerias, where there is a very helpful young woman named Ana who speaks English well. With that account, you get a preferred customer gold card, which puts you in the shortest line at the bank.
I'm not sure if other Bancomer branches have special accout managers for this type of account.

I agree...

When we purchased our home in the Los Amores development of Bucerias we also went to Bancomer.

The Bancomer branch in Bucerias (which is about 20 minutes north of Walmart in PV) was great. Ana and/or Carla speak wonderful English and make it very easy to open an account.

That's good to know, and I've taken note, for future needs.

Since my first post, I've been able to move our account from Marina branch to the Penninsula Branch. They have several very helpful people who speak good English, in particular, Fernando and Ulysses. Lovely bank, nice folks, catering to gringos, good and free underground parking (most of the time) and accessible.

When writing a check for cash, the teller understands enough English so I can write the check in English. That's not critical, but it is helpful.

Good info. But, where's the Peninsula Branch? Near the shopping mall?

Yes, It's inside the Penninsula shopping mall. That's the one by the new waterfront highrises and where you can see Starbucks when you drive by.
